Gently kneed the icing prior to decorating. The frosting will naturally separate over time.
-
Cut the tip of the bag to manage the flow of the icing.
-
If you want to create a boarder or use the icing for writing it is recommended to cut a small tip off the bag.
-
If you would like the icing to flow more cut a larger whole in the tip.
-
-
Icing is sometimes referred to as “Glue” so if you want to alter the consistency of the icing to decorate it can easily be fixed.
-
To loosen up the icing add small drops of water at a time to determine your consistency
-
If you added too much water and it is too runny you can easily fix by adding small amounts of powdered sugar until it thickens.
-
-
Decorate with sprinkles and let dry for a couple of hours. You can store your cookies at room temperature.
